What to Wear
Autumnal wind starts to blow and it’s getting colder and colder. You must need a jacket, and often a thicker one, or even a winter jacket. The temperature difference between morning and evening is big, so you should adjust with underwears.
It’s the coldest season in Hokkaido. You must put on a scarf, gloves, and a hat. A light padded jacket will be comfortable while you’re traveling. Besides, a disposable packet warmer, called “kairo” will help keep you warm.
Spring Has Come!（March～April）
It’s still cold in the early March, but a thin coat will be OK in April. The temparatures are unstable in Noboribetsu Onsen located at the higher elevation, so don’t forget to bring some sort of jacket. Layering some clothings will be a better idea than wearing a thick coat.
